What Is 18M
A programme that trains individual parts of the swing first, and then builds it in easily learnt stages, step-by-step.
There are 16 short follow-along tutorial lessons by Darren Close, a PGA teaching professional.
Each lesson ( 2 to 6 minutes in length) has a goal which is measured, tested and analysed in the app’s swing studio.
What’s amazing about the app, is most of it is done at home, in your own time.
You can receive feedback , support and help from the community, and you can even join or create a learning group.
It is without doubt, the simplest, quickest, cheapest and most convenient way for you to get a good golf swing.

The Programme
You start by learning isolated body movements, and then you progressively build your swing in stages, just like you did when you learnt to walk and run.
What’s unique about this system, is you learn just one movement and one swing thought at a time.
Each lesson (16) covers a different position and movement pattern, each building on the previous one.
They can be watched on any device.
You learn and practise mostly at home, at your own pace.
You upload a video of your swing to the app’s swing studio, where you test and compare it to the lesson’s goal.
When the goal is achieved, you move onto the second part of the lesson, which is to commit it to muscle memory by repetition.
You do them in order, and when all 16 are completed, you will have a better golf swing.

The Lesson Plan
There are 16 Lessons with 3 distinct bio mechanical learning parts: –
Part 1 – Fundamental Positions & Movement Patterns – 8 lessons isolate and teach you the correct positions and movement patterns for your Legs & Hips, Shoulders, Arms & Hands (No Club).
Part 2 – Swing Path & Sequence – 5 lessons teach you the correct swing sequences on the right path (Club only).
Part 3 – Ball Compression & Clubface Control – 3 lessons help you learn the correct hand eye coordination and timing to compress the golf ball and consistently square the club at impact (Club & Ball).
Golf Foundation mini-series – 5 extra lessons cover the Grip, Stance, Wrist & Forearm Rotation, Key Swing Check Points, Golf Related Exercises.
Arm Isolation mini-series – 2 extra lessons teach you the isolated movement patters of the left and right arm.
A Shank – 1 extra lesson on how and why they occur, and how to fix them.

Why It Works
Isolation: Legs & Hips, shoulders, arms. – Learning and focusing on them in isolation, makes it easier to learn and remember the correct position and movement patterns..
Learn in stages: Learning in small steps and stages, makes it is easier to commit to muscle memory, as there is less to think about, and learn at any one time. This process is how we learnt to walk and run
Feel the correct positions: It’s easier to feel what’s right and feel what’s wrong when you isolate movements.
See your swing: In your swing studio, it’s easier to test and analyse the lesson goals, and identify areas for improvement. After all, seeing is believing!”
Stand upright like a baseball player: The upright stance is a more natural one, making it easier to see and feel the correct swing path.
Practice a little each day: Short, regular sessions build muscle memory faster.
Key Stages: First learn the movements, then the swing path, and finally hit the ball. This is a more logical, efficient, and easier way to develop a new golf swing.

The Benefits
A good understanding of Swing mechanics and fundamentals.
Being able to feel the correct swing path (plane).
Understanding how good shots happen as well as bad ones.
The correct technique to compress the golf ball and consistently hit it straight.
Structured learning: The step-by-step approach, with follow along lessons, provides a clear roadmap for improvement.
Learn at your own pace: You can progress through the program at your own speed, repeating lessons as needed.
Convenience: You can learn and practice at home, making it flexible for busy schedules.
Lesson enhancement: Learning to swing first, before a lesson with a PGA teaching professional, will help you get more out of the lesson.

Group Learning
You can follow the programme on your own, with a training partner, or with other people in a group.
Uniquely you can share the learning experience with up to 4 other people.
With shared access to each others uploaded videos, you can comment, give feedback, help and motivate members within your group. As a result the learning experience will be more fun and rewarding.
